And I just caught up with the related "discuss" list thread, where Tille

I've been here for a while, and Tille might not need me to introduce
myself again, but it might be useful anyway.
I'm a longtime technical writer and editor (often paid for the former,
not for the latter), and native speaker of English who can also do
simultaneous translation to American. ;->
(To explain: I'm a Yank, but grew up initially in the British school
system in Hong Kong. Thus my personal preference for Commonwealth
spelling.) Though I confess to being a grammar and usage snob, the
schools I attended cannot be blamed; I already had those character
flaws, going in.
I have a rich store of ignorance in many fine technical fields,
ameliorated by a willingness to Read The Fine Manual as required.
For LDP, I maintain the Linux User Group HOWTO and the WordPerfect FAQ.
