Well, the problem is more that _i_ should get the feedback, not him,
because AFAIK he isn't involved in it any more. Now that the both of us
are listed at the top of the document it is unclear that i am working on
it on a "regular" basis, and he contributed in a previous life...

Listing Giuseppe as co-author would probably do the trick.
