farmy :-) ) eliminują pojedyncze instalacje.
mechanizmy maszyn wirtualne na mainframe mają wydajność o kilka rzędów
wielkości większą niż rozwiązania pecetowe.
ze stron vmware - jeden serwer fizyczny to kilkadziesiąt maszyn wirtualnych
z praktyki mainframe - jeden serwer fizyczny to kilka, kilkanaście
tysięcy maszyn wirtualnych
więc liczba fizycznych maszyn spada, ale to co na nich jest rośnie i to
szybko
tylko czekać kiedy Amazon albo Google wsiądą na mainframe - z powodów
czysto ekonomicznych
trzeba tylko przełamać bariery mentalnościowe :-)
a co do dzisiejszych sytemów - rozumiem, że mowa o systemach pecetowych
bo te na mainframe są o niebo bardziej rozwinięte niż trzydzieści czy
czterdzieści lat temu :-)
