Recently I posted a message on the general discussion list about the
'Encouraging Women in Linux HOWTO' with regard to what I percieve
as a document less about encouraging women and more about bashing men.

Numerous replies ensued after the post. Some agreed with my view and
some did not. For the most part men agreed with me and women did not.
Of course there were points we all agreed upon, but the fact that there is
some lingering objection to some facets of this document clearly indicates
that a review is in order.

Therefore, I volunteer to participate in reviewing this document.

If possible, I would not like to do this on my own. The reason being that
a reply from the document author on the discussion list to my initial
post more or less accused me of being sexist. I do not want my efforts
to review this work to be seen as some kind of attack by the author or
those that would side with the documents' current views. My intention is
that the document be brought in line with the overall concerns of the LDP
and not be overly biased for or against any specific groups.

I am not sure of the type of review to be done here. A 'peer review' according
to information on the LDP site is specifically for new documents--of which
this is not. A 'technical accuracy review' does not seem to have the correct
context for this document--there is hardly anything technical about it. A
'language review' is not necessary at this time.

All feedback is welcome.
