Hi all,

Forwarded by Doug Jensen were several responses on unmaintained
documentation, some by the authors themselves.

If I could get some general agreement to move these to unmaintained,
I'll be glad to do so.

Please let me know.

Thanks, to all those that responded, I appreciate your help.

As a test case, please consider moving the following seven documents to the
unmaintained section of TLDP. I don't know what needs to be done next?

The #nnnnnn is the Debian bug number.

3-Button-Mouse-HOWTO, last update 1998May31, bug #158768
Author states (about 2002Aug30):
 | Thanks for the bug report- as you will notice the mini-HOWTO is rather
 | out of date, and has somewhat outlived its purpose. I will find a new
 | permanent home for it, then do one last update.

Danish-HOWTO, last update 2000Mar09, (part of bug #95667)
Author states (2001Sep05):
 | Beware that Danish-HOWTO is no longer actively maintained since all
 | modern distributions support locales ``out of the box''. Besides we
 | now have better documentation in Danish (look at http://www.sslug.dk).

Laptop-HOWTO last update 2003Feb27, bug #201102
Author states (2003Aug02):
 | the Laptop-HOWTO has become the Linux-Mobile-Guide and now covers not
 | only laptops, but PDAs, mobile phones and other mobile computers. I had
 | some trouble with the LDP and did not submit it to them, so currently it
 | is only available at my TuxMobil site http://tuxmobil.org/howtos.html
 |
 | But I will consider to change that. The status of the document changed
 | from HOWTO to guide because it became much more bigger.
 | AFAIK there are no guides in the doc-linux package yet.
[ Note: Don't know what the "trouble" was, perhaps someone should contact
him? Either way the Laptop-HOWTO itself is unmaintained ]

Linux+Windows-HOWTO, last update 2001Dec28, bug #116173
Colin Watson found (2001Nov13) a new address, still no response.
[ Note: Although the update date is after the attempted contact date,
the spelling errors still remain. ]

Net-HOWTO, last update 2000Dec, bug #178233
 Mail bounces (2003Jan27)

Quota-HOWTO, last update 2003Aug, bug #173961
 Ambiguous license

Remote-Boot-HOWTO last update 1999Feb, bug #71758
Notes from Frank Lichtenheld (2003Sep21):
 | Some notes to this bug after some investigation:
 |
 | - The Remote-Boot mini-HOWTO is currently in nonfree
 | - There is a newer version of it available at
 | http://cuiwww.unige.ch/info/pc/remote-boot/howto.html
 | but the licence has changed and it is undistributable what
 | explains why this newer version is not in the LDP
 |
 | Hmm, another HOWTO that seems unmaintained...
