Spinning Yarns
Life on “The Rock” with Stephen Guy-McGrath

You are invited into the world of a boy growing up in Newfoundland in a time and place much simpler than here and now. Stories and songs weave in and out throughout this tale of life on The Rock. Stephen Guy-McGrath is the long, lanky Newfoundlander who delivers the saga of the Guy-McGrath’s with good humour and good music. Hear how Mother McGrath convinced the town to install a stop sign on her street so the boys could play street hockey safely. Marvel at the dysfunction of his family – especially on that most difficult of days, Christmas. Gasp at the sibling rivalry, the sharp-shooting and the trick with the clothes dryer.

His exclusive one-week engagement at The Princess Court Theatre is not to be missed! The Princess Court Theatre is becoming the hottest place in Kingston for live performance and the most talked about around town!! Come on down and see for yourself what you've been missing!

“Wildman Stephen McGrath…outlandish bravado, combined
with physical exuberance and an unusually high tolerance for on-stage chaos
”.
The Newfoundland Herald.

“Witty and full of folksy charm, Guy-McGrath can spin
a yarn, sing and play his fiddle, doing his best to prove that
Newfoundlanders are indeed the funniest characters in the country”
.
The Guelph Mercury
