Using DocBook XML and the LDP's XSL over the top of
xml-stylesheets-1.48, When I have code like :

<citation>gcc</citation>

this does not translate into an HTML anchor after rendering.

IMO, this should become an HTML anchor to the relevent entry
in the <bibliography>. Is there a simpler/better way to do this ?

Also, silly question, but I thought it was possible to minimise XML
tags like so <title>blah</title> -> <title>blah</>, but xsltproc doesn't
like this. Any ideas ?

regards
john

p.s. I have now started work on my linux profiling HOWTO, who do I need
to contact to get this listed as "under progress" ?

XML doesn't allow such minimizations. Your editor should have a
shortcut to automatically close tags, or to insert tags in pairs, or
some such.

Actually John, I can't help with the citation tag off the top of my head,
but I can tell you that from what I've read about Docbook, all indications
seem to be you need the end tag for the very reason you just described (the
processing doesn't allow for it)! If I'm wrong though, I'm sure someone
else will point it out!

You can do it in Linuxdoc though! <grin>

Cheers,
Tabatha
