Well, Peter, I can't say for sure, because I don't use LyX (I use epcEdit,
used to use emacs/psgml); however, if you selected <programlisting> and LyX
included the CDATA markup, then I'd say this is a bug.  I'm forwarding this
query to the DocBook Apps list at Oasis. Perhaps someone there can tell you
how to get LyX to give you a <programlisting> without the CDATA markup.
