docbook: Thread: error compiling document

Hi all..

I've been working on the ldap impl howto again, but I am having problems
compiling.
The command I have use before does no longer work. Probably because I
updated the files I used.

Any help will be appreciated...

I'm using

db160.zip
docbk41.zip
entities.tar.gz
jade-1.2.1.tar.gz
ldp.dsl

I've edited the two ENTITY lines in lpd.dsl accordingly, the
SGML_CATALOG_FILES variable is set, and the command I used to compile it
was:

/usr/local/sgml/jade-1.2.1/jade/jade -t sgml -i html -d \
/usr/local/sgml/stylesheets/ldp.dsl\#html file.sgml

The head of the document looks like this:

<!doctype article public "-//James Clark//DTD DSSSL Style Sheet//EN"
 [
<!entity header system "header.sgml">
<!entity etc SYSTEM "etc">
<!entity fileldifstructure SYSTEM "lih-structure.ldif">
]>

If anyone could at least give me some hints about where to look, I would
be helped a lot. I find the rendering still pretty confusing...

Not sure exactly what to do to help, but I'd offer two suggestions:

1. You might want to try openjade 1.3 - I'm using it with the same command
you are showing and all is working fine. http://openjade.sourceforge.net/

2. The top of my document is:

  <!DOCTYPE ARTICLE PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD DocBook V4.1//EN">

And it works fine.  So that may be the issue...
