Well you got a heck of a lot farther than I did. For the heck of it, I
tried OO1.1 for Windows. The darn thing couldn't even install. It kept
looking for cab files numbered higher than what was provided in the
archive. Grrr!
I also selected "no" to the Java environment, so I didn't stand a hope
of getting anywhere with DocBook even if it did install, by the sound of
things. I don't even know how the JRE works on a Windows machine - it's
so much simpler in Linux. It's installed, it's there.
Would love to hear of any success stories! I'm still not sure I'm ready
to do it to my Linux machine until I hear of someone getting everything
working...call me chicken!
