ok, not docbook woes, but i didn't know where else to turn.
i've been maintaining the linux gamers' howto for awhile now, and
suddenly out of the blue, i'm getting errors when i try to make a ps
file out of it.
here's the makefile:
STYLE=/usr/share/sgml/docbook/stylesheet/dsssl/modular/html/ldp.dsl
DOCUMENT=linux-gamers-howto
JADEOPTIONS=-t sgml -i html -V nochunks -d ldp.dsl\#html
# all:
# jade -t tex -d ${STYLE}#html linux-gamers-howto.sgml
# jadetex linux-gamers-howto.tex
# dvips -o linux-gamers-howto.ps linux-gamers-howto.dvi
all:
jade ${JADEOPTIONS} linux-gamers-howto.sgml > linux-gamers-howto.html
ldp_print linux-gamers-howto.html
clean:
rm -rf *.aux *.fot *.log *.dvi *.tex *.ps *.html
here's the output:
p@satan% make
jade -t sgml -i html -V nochunks -d ldp.dsl#html linux-gamers-howto.sgml > linux-gamers-howto.html
ldp_print linux-gamers-howto.html
ERR002: Error: no pages generated! (did you remember to use webpage mode?
ldp_print: could not create linux-gamers-howto.pdf ()
make: *** [all] Error 1
the single file html file, body.html and title.html are all being made
correctly.
if i add --webpage to $cmd in ldp_print, htmldoc makes a ps file which
is almost correct, but a sentence gets cut off here and there(!).
the thing is, webpage mode is incorrect, since it's intended for html
documents without heading tags like <H3>.
life was good until a few days ago. i'm not sure what happened and why
no pages are being generated.
help?
thanks!
