Hi guys!!....Im new in the list., so I hope anybody can help me, maybe the
"answer guy"...ok....I have a strange problem with kppp, ...when I
make a connection with my ISP, I get the next configuration:

 eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:D0:09:48:D1:DB
           inet addr:192.168.0.100 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
           RX packets:365 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
           TX packets:308 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
           collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
           Interrupt:11 Base address:0xda00

 lo Link encap:Local Loopback
         inet addr:127.0.0.1 Bcast:127.255.255.255 Mask:255.0.0.0
UP BROADCAST LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:3584 Metric:1
         RX packets:55 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
         TX packets:55 errots:0 dropped:0 overruns:0

 ppp0 Link encap:Point-Point Protocol
         inet addr:192.168.0.100 P-t-P:200.31.30.34 Mask:255.255.255.255
         UP POINTTOPOINT RUNNING MTU:1500 Metric:1
         RX packets:9 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
         TX packets:10 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0

As you can see, I don t know why the kppp use the ethernet IP (eth0) in
 the
field "inet addr" a the ppp0 interface. and of course I cannot navigate......it
is very strange, because when I use the "wvdial" command to make the same
connection it works fine, i mean, in the ppp0 s field above it puts the
 correct
IP asigned by the ISP. Another thing, I have three ISP, and I have that
 little
problem only with one ot them, but with windows 98 dial-up client
everything is OK....Any suggestion????....What do i do wrong??

 Thanks a lot

 Alfredo
