This is an important issue, and I think it deserves further discussion.

At some point, after having put sufficient effort into a document, it would be
nice to be able to make a little money from it. And, it should be possible to
do so in a manner consistent with the LDP guidelines and philosophy. Maybe we
ought to brainstorm on ways to do it.

For example, would the LDP permit a request for contributions at the end of an
LDP-published document? Said contributions to be split between the author and
the LDP perhaps?
