The start of the Linux Tuning Book!
This is going to be a counterpart to something like the Sun Tuning Handbook,
covering aspects of performance tuning for most Linux boxes: kernel,
disk, networking, application, and others as I think of them.
I've already got a publisher lined up, and they've accepted allowing me to
submit the completed work to the LDP under the stipulation that they're
the only ones that can commercially publish it (specifics have yet
to be worked out, like derivitive works and length of time). Profits
will be donated to the LDP, EFF, and FSF.
I have the idea, I have a lot of information, but what I need is HELP!
I'd like to see this at about 400 pages, which means a lot of writing
has to go on between now and about August.
If you've ever wanted to write a book and see your name in lights (print),
drop me a line with what you can write about, and we can get started.
