Correct me if I'm wrong, but the original intent of the wiki was to use it
to store the beta documentation which would then be 'published' to the main
site. I think that it is important to keep this distinction so that the
documentation can be used offline.

Which brings me to another point. As much as I agree that the artwork for
the site dates it, I think that renewing it will be akin to putting lipstick
on a pig.  Much of the documentation is woefully out of date. I think our
labour should go into bringing that up to scratch and then prettying up the
artwork.

There are a lot of excellent howtos and documentation scattered over the
internet. I admit that I rely on Google to solve my Linux problems before
the ldp. I think we should approach the authors of these scattered guides
and ask them if they would donate the documentation to the ldp.
