linuxdoc generated html nice-ities
From: Steven ####@####.#### Date: 12 Dec 2009 07:42:29 +0000 Message-Id: <15649.3907.qm@web53201.mail.re2.yahoo.com> Hi, I've been using linuxdoc to make simple webpages for a while. I noticed some of the LDP unofficial mirrors/re-issuers have nicer fonts, layout and colours. Can anyone point me to some info about embellishing my linuxdoc html pages. I also use linuxdoc for making webpages and once noticed this. But I then realized that the conversion to html results in an html that neither specifies font nor font size. This lets your browser decide how to display it and most browsers have a setup menu where the user can choose a default font and size. If a good choice is made (or the browser originally came with a good choice) then the display looks pretty good. But in many cases it doesn't look good because the user has not bothered to set it up. Could the nicer fonts you refer to be due to cascading style sheets that are called by a link added to the html doc? The site i remember had smallish AA fonts all round, as well as nice colour themes. I went looking for an example, but can't find one now ^%# > Could the nicer fonts you refer to be due to cascading > style sheets that are called by a link added to the html doc? I've seen the CSS sites you're talking about, but i don't think these are the ones i remember / was talking about.
