For any readers of this list who would like to 'play' with some real live
wikis, there are samples of about half-a-dozen of them at:

      http://startext.demon.co.uk/

play with too.

Feel free to create pages, documents, add comments to what's already there
(mainly satirical, cynical texts and comments) -- as it's a teaching /
training site, the content tends to be *very* undergraduate.

But if you've never used a wiki, and are put off by the 'big' sites
(wikipedia, etc.), these are fairly pain-free sites to learn from.
Have fun.

Cheers,

get a lokk also at pmwiki (very light, probably not for us,
but very nice for beginners)
http://www.pmichaud.com/wiki/PmWiki/PmWiki

my media wiki at home (in french)
http://dodin.org/mediawiki/index.php/Accueil
I also manage the http://fr.susewiki.org, but you may
prefere the english version at
http://susewiki.org
precedently I use wikini, pretty simple, but with some caveats:
http://formation.jdd.free.fr/wikini/wakka.php?wiki=PagePrincipale
and as previously said, the http://www.opensuse.org
mediawiki, the new Novell's open source Linux.

mediawiki is probably the wiki of choice, beeing very robust
and fully featured.
