I agree that the "Bash Scripting Introduction HOWTO" still has a
place. If we make it focus on teaching the reader how to write Bash
scripts quickly, then we will be doing something that the the "Bash
Guide for Beginners" doesn't do.  Maybe our HOWTO should actually be
called something like the "Bash Scripting Quick Start HOWTO" (I'm sure
there are better names than that). But you get the idea -- a name that
emphasises the focus on learning to write scripts quickly.

To answer Randy Kramer's question (posed in a posting to
####@####.#### Yes, I think both documents are intended to be
tutorials/learning tools, so there may be value in having two
different explainations of similar concepts.
