It's: sgml2txt -c latin -f
The above generates text output while sgml2html generates html output
and the -c ascii flag says to use ascii characters in the .html
output. But it's still html with all the html tags.
In your next post I guess you realized this and used a sed script to
eliminate the escape sequeces generated by grotty when using sgml2txt.
Note sgml2txt really means linuxdoc2txt and many people associated
with LDP used to say "sgml" to mean "linuxdoc" . Hence sgml2txt??
The intention may have been to extend sgml2txt software to handle
other types of sgml, such as docbook-sgml, but it never happened.
As to the sed script, I showed that using sgml2txt --pass="-P-bc" will
fix the problem and also eliminate overstrikes which are currently
filtered out by using the -f flag. You don't need to use -c ascii as
it's the default.
