Perfect. Thank you Steven. I was able to fix this in
our processing.

For those that care about the gory details,

- take the output of sgml2txt and cat the file through
  the following sed cmd:  sed -r 's/\x1b\[[0-9]+m//g'

Works great. See the above howto for an example of the
output. "col" and other utilities didn't solve the problem,
so I went this route.
