Hello All,
I'm looking for a volunteer for the mirror checkup.
Things to do:
- - Check timestamp on all mirrors (http://www.tldp.org/mirrors.html), all
URLs should have a timestamp.txt in the top-level directory. e.g. the url
is http://www.mymirror.net/tldp : there should be a file
http://www.mymirror.net/tldp/timestamp.txt. The timestamp should be at
the most two weeks different from the one at the main site
(http://www.tldp.org/timestamp.txt)
- - contact the maintainers of mirrors that are not up to date, ask if they
plan to correct the situation (most of the time they don't even know that
their mirror is not up to date, so be nice to them)
- - provide me with a list of mirrors that can not be contacted at all,
those will be removed from http://www.tldp.org/mirrors.html
