1. Fix typo: "applymodern" should be "apply to modern"?

2. Add the date it was archived, and if possible, some sort of not about
what event makes it archaic, for example:

- Does not apply to kernels after 2.4.3

- Does not apply to application xxx after version 3.0

- Modern Linux systems typically include GUIs which use significantly
more RAM and hard disk space.  The information contained here might
still be useful for new Linux installations without GUI.
