I've already answered on the editors mailinglist but I'll do it here as
well, because few people seem to know that we have a lot of help on this:

Templates can be found here:

Most useful is the Sample HOWTO (first link)

Actual examples are in abundance in the CVS:

On the commandline, you can use xmllint from the libxml package.
