I didn't find anything wrong with the contents of lg-108.tar.gz and 
lg-issue86.tar.gz with F-Secure, Ad-Aware or SbyBot.

I'd like to agree with others that files from the Linux Gazette can 
hardly contain spyware or trojans, but who knows with Windows? :-(
