Martin,
I, as a member of the "staff" list, have no problems defending my position
through an election.
I do feel that my position of I18N Coordinator is
important. Using Tille's start I will write up a full job description of
what I have been working on, and how much time I spend on the project each
week. If there are others who would like to nominate themselves for the
position, or make suggestions for what an I18N Coordinator should do,
please feel free to contribute your name and ideas as well.
I'm sure the other members of the "staff" list will have no problems going
through a similar process.
I don't think this election needs to be a concensus. Probably a popularity
contest with the person with the most votes winning is fine? (Because
really that's what elections are all about...) Any suggestions for a
voting platform that is fair to all participants?
