Perhaps, but I think in terms of long-term maintainability,
performance (parsing a *big* XML file via a DOM-based 
or SAX parser can be abyssmal!), and ease of creating
various output forms...an SQL implementation would be
better suited for our needs.

I could certainly create that easily enough with my perl-based
parser (which works with LinuxDoc and DocBook).
