It's a bummer.
I should know -- I did on one of my servers which was hosting the Linux
Dictionary at the time, and allowed 900 Mb files to be generated 'on the
fly'.
I eventually had to suspend the service because of the operational
problems it caused.

Oh, generating them is fine. It's when you try to deliver them to the
clown who dialled in on a 56k modem that your troubles begin ...
