How about a meta-package that has dependencies of all the packages
that an LDP user would need? Debian handles this pretty nicely, and
for RPM-based, at least you can find out what packages you need to install.
The contents of the package could be a couple text files or the LDP-Author-Guide
(plug) or similar.
