I guess we can pull statistics of the iBiblio server, but we also have +/-
220 mirrors. I've experimented with ways to trace who is reading what
where, but it is such a huge task, I abandonned it altogether...
As a rule, good documents are being maintained regularly. If I see a
document that dates from the previous century, I discard it. Even if your
info is still valid, as an author, you can at least publish an update each
year, just from the comments that you get from readers. A document is
never perfect. Even if you only change a couple of characters, e.g. a
revision remark saying that you checked your document and found that it is
still valid, that is the least of signs to give to us that you are still
maintaining your document.
