to summarize my position, simply,
1) I write a (small) HOWTO with LyX/SGML and learn sgml in an afternoon (even
with emacs)
2) I use SuSE. For an obscure reason, I never could have Docbook work on
SuSE, even following the LAG - too many option for me to choose. and
LyX/docbook don't work. Last try nearly a year ago, may be fixed now.
3) I still maintain the HOWTO with sgml-lite
4) I have no time to learn docbook right now.
5) I have asked several times for a _complete_ package with any graphic small
word processor allowing Docbook but this seems impossible
6) if Docbook become mandatory, I will stop writing for LDP. Should be a
shame.
there are no reason to break a working system.
