There have been some efforts to solve this, see http://xml.coverpages.org/rahtzEntities19981009.html and the XML document that is referenced there: http://www.tei-c.org/Software/unicode.xml with the related DTD http://www.biglist.com/lists/dssslist/archives/199810/msg00049.html However, I don't know how it could be used to solve your problem, even though in http://www.biglist.com/lists/dssslist/archives/199810/msg00060.html it is claimed that you can use this XML file to "make stuff for JadeTeX using DSSSL specifications". Once again, Norm was ahead of us: http://www.biglist.com/lists/dssslist/archives/199810/msg00064.html but I've never seen those Perl scripts he used to "build glyphs from Unicode characters". If you find a solution, please tell me because this topic is interesting to me too. -- Regards Chris Karakas http://www.karakas-online.de
