Subject: translating howto's and doc's into german

Hello,
I hope that I'm right "here".

In the last few months I worked more and more with Linux and installed
Gentoo the first time.
Therefor I read many howto's and also a few from TLDP (others from
gentoo.org and linuxforen.de etc.),
hence I'm from germany I prefer my mother tongue when I'm reading things
that are hard enough to understand
without the difficulty of tranlating.
I know that there are only a few german howto's and many of them are
out-dated, so I would like to help
you/the project in this matter. And I actually don't see a problem with my
understanding of english, the problem is in fact that I'm relative new to
the real Linux(my first Linux was SuSe 8.1, but you can't learn very much
from it [so I mean Gentoo with real]). Therefor I can't rewrite the howto's
for a new version of a program etc. (at least not yet), but I could at least
simply translate the newest english howto's.

I'm also aware that there is another german translator, but it seems that he
hasn't worked on the project for
a while. Due to this I wrote "I hope that I'm right "here".", because I
havn't found a contact for the translators and I didn't want to send a mail
to someone who probably doesn't work for TLDP anymore.

greetings
xaero
