Hello.
I notice that the Benchmark HOWTO hasn't been updated since 1997. I saw
that the unmatinained list shows a new maintainer for the doc, but when
attempting to email him I got a failed response from his mail server.
The new maintainer is listed as Barry Tepperman

Does anyone know the state of this document? Or the fate of Barry?
I'd like to see the document updated, but I also think it should be far
heavier on benchmarking disk subsystems. The document is pretty heavily
weighted toward general systems performance at the moment. I think it
could be greatly expanded. But, I mainly want to see the disk
benchmarking sections added and expanded... perhaps I should simply start
a new Disk-Benchmarking HOWTO?
Thoughts, input, or news relating to the current maintainership would be
greatly appreciated.
