That probably is me. I suggest rewriting the howto for
a newbie. (The current one doesnt live up to a newbie
expectation for reasons mentioned earlier ) or clearly
list the requirements.
Now why would a newbie user want to compile a
software.
Ideally everything they need would be prepackages and
work they way they want. unfortunately this isnt tru
in all cases. so a curious and persistent newbie might
read your howto to understand better the general
procedure for compiling software from source. hence my
suggestion to give the specific commands and
definitions.
