Hello everybody !
We've been working on a translation of the Wireless-Sync-HOWTO in
French.
This document is out-of-date and would need some updates.
-> CVS contains a version 0.13 for this document that has been marked as
"ready for publish" but has never been published it seems.
-> Handspring has been acquired by Palm and the Visor Deluxe is not sold
anymore.
-> The links to Handspring are dead.
-> The Xircom wireless module is not sold anymore. The link to this
product is dead but could be replaced by :
http://support.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/xc/springport/
-> This HOWTO mentions a patch which is impossible to find and has
probably been integrated into the latest version of jpilot-sync.
-> The software version mentionned in this HOWTO are all outdated
(jpilot 0.99.1pre vs. 0.99.7 et pilot-link 0.9.5-pre3 vs. 0.11.8).
-> This document is rather terse. Some more detailed explanations would
be nice.
-> Part 3.3.2 offers a warning and a note that seem to be contradictory.
Should you sync or not while jpilot-sync is running. That's not very
clear.
Hope that helps.
Best Regards.
