Hi!
I'm proud to annouce that the Brazilian team --- LDP-BR:
http://ldp-br.conectiva.com.br --- has achieved almost 100% of man pages
translated, revised and made available to the community. Accordingly
to our 'man page translation effort' coordinator, we have already done
90% of the process and the remaining 10% are already allocated for
translation.
The reference is the 1.36 version of the man pages package (the latest
version is 1.38 --- released this week?) which will be updated to the
latest available version as soon as we get the status of 100% of them
available in pt_BR.
As we've discussed a while ago, it would be VERY interesting to have
some marketing on that available at LDP website. This would benefit
all the translation teams and would allow that Linux vendors use the
correct translations in their packages.
This project has some sponsorship from Conectiva, but it's not
dependant on anything (besides the website and mailing list) provided
by Conectiva, so any Linux distribution can use them as they
want. This project, LDP-BR, is independent and exists for more than 5
years now (IIRC, it appeared at the same time that LDP was started).
Thanks for you attention and, once more, thank you for the brazillian
translation team for that work!
