Hi Michael,

Although an external ISDN modem configuration is practically identical to
the common analog modem, this is not what people think at the first time.
Thus i think that an "ISDN-HOWTO" should cover external isdn modems as it
does with internal isdn cards.

You could insert my howto into yours in a section called something like: "A
Step-by-Step Example of making a Dial-Up connection Using an External ISDN
Modem"

Also you could add a brief section in your howto called "External ISDN
Modems", where you would add a little paragraph like this bellow:

"External ISDN modems are recognized by linux as if they were common
external analog modems. The only difference you can notice is the modem
initialization string that activates the ISDN multi-channel feature. We're
providing an example of a dial-up connection using external ISDN modems in
the section A Step-by-Step Example of making a Dial-Up connection Using an
External ISDN Modem."

In this simple way our documents could be presented together. What do you
think about it?

As we were discussing here on this list, although my testing environment is
a Red Hat linux, most of the configuration showed in my howto is also valid
for other distributions. (a dude that uses Debian told me that)

What I can do is attenuate the Redhat bias in my document by saying in its
introduction that "besides my testing environment is a Red Hat linux, most
of the configuration showed here is also valid for other Linux
distributions".

Wow, I used to be good in german, but not anymore... You have to ask
someone else ;-)
