Why can't TLDP cooperate without requiring a name change?

It appears that the Traduc.org association has different criteria for
including documentation than TLDP. Maybe they don't want to include all
of the broken documents that are included in TLDP. Maybe they just want
to select documents based on licensing criteria. Calling Traduc.org
association an "isolated community" doesn't seem very useful, unless
your goal is to build an impire.
