Dear Emma,

I remember this post and also found it again:
http://lists.tldp.org/index.cgi?1:mss:6445
This is from Jan 2004 and states that Jeremy Heilman will be the new
owner. Have we heard from him since?
Originally, I wrote the guide to bridge the gap between this HOWTO and the
Advanced Bash scripting guide. (That's not true, I wrote it because I
didn't want to teach Korn shell over at Sun, but true enough for TLDP
purpose). As far as I'm concerned, I see no harm in a short explanation
of Bash programming using the command line and maybe some very simple
example scripts. For those users over at the Flemish community and
ministeries elsewhere in the world, who need a little script for every
UNIX command because they cannot remember the options ;-)

No, this is only related because it is about colours, imho. But Colour-ls
is now a non-issue, since everybody using Linux has it by default, if I'm
not mistaking. It is still an issue on Solaris, but that's not our
problem here :)

This is still valid, of course.

Tille.
