Actually, yes. <grin> After long conversation on this list, I at least have
convinced myself that the CC-BY-SA license (did I miss anything?) is
perfectly acceptable, valid, and recommended. It's certainly very Free as
*I* understand and define the concept, and imposes no meaningful
restrictions to the Four Sacred Software Freedoms (or whatever) as I
understand them.
In my (admittedly) quite ignorant opinion, such a license *is* Free. It
seems to serve all purposes of the LDP and most purposes of most of its
contributing authors. If people standardized on this one license (certainly
not a necessary step), LDP would be much better off than it is today... and
this tells me that this license is a Good Thing [tm].
Now, I shall throw up my hands in despair, bow out of any further
discussion on the topic, and find a way to relicense my work under this
license. The rest of you are welcome to keep beating this particular
horse... in the humblest of opinions, *I* think it's dead. <smile>
