I've got an LDAP operations HOWTO at tille.soti.org/training/ldap,
covering a.o. OpenLDAP. Maybe that's a start? I don't have anything
about PDC, however, because the docs over at samba.org (or your local
mirror) are very good. But I'd be glad to help with or co-author
something like your proposal.
Even today I was arguing with people that LDAP is still too far from users
that really need it, such as sysadmins in SMEs, and that too often they
will keep on gluing different systems together, which does not ease
management, on the contrary, eventhough it may be a cheaper solution in
the short term.
There is definitely a gap to close here, LDAP is way much harder to sell
than it ought to be. Let me know if I can help,
Tille.
