Hey, everyone:

Are we able to track how many hits/views/whatever a given document receives
per month? It strikes me that this information could be very useful in
terms of showing us what documents are/aren't important, or becoming
obsolete, or most needing our attention. It could also help us to see that
the information most frequently requested by users is that information
which is most up-to-date, improving average quality delivered.

Also, sending a quick automated email to the author every month saying
"Your HOWTO was viewed X times this month" could be an incentive to authors
to care more about their documents. I know that I do check the logs
frequently to see which of my docs get read, and I do enjoy seeing that the
docs are proving to be useful, and seeing more traffic makes me put more
effort into improving them. Perhaps others feel the same way.

Just a thought. Comments?
