I see your point, and I agree that tldp can *not* allow 
licenses/copyrights to be violated in any way, ever.

I now have written permission to update Peter Hernberg's HOWTO so as 
long as I'll maintain this document, there is no problem (however, I 
guess people who submit patches will have to transfer their copyright to 
me to remain completely legal - but I'm not sure).

To avoid any further problems I will contact the author to see if he's 
willing to release his work under the FDL.
