You must be working with an older version of the TLDP-XSL style sheets.

Please take a look at a recent version of the TLDP-XSL style sheet
customizations. You can find the latest version at:
http://my.core.com/~dhorton/docbook/tldp-xsl/ It is the one dated
21MAR2004.

Here are some highlights:

* No custom XSLT at all. All of the customizations are done by setting
certain parameters and options in the DocBook-XSL style sheets.

* It is possible to get decent looking PDF output with TLDP-XSL and
Apache FOP.

* HTML produced with TLDP-XSL style sheet customizations contains a
<link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" type="text/css"> tag for easy
styling with CSS. Sample CSS is included.

* There is a short HOWTO that gives examples of using the style sheets
with various tools on various platforms to produce various kinds of output.

* TLDP-XSL style sheets are now certified by the NSSSCNA (No-Suck Style
Sheet Council of North America) and we look forward to getting No-Suck
certified in other localities as well.
