You get this automatically from the DSSSL stylesheets of N. walsh, it's not a CSS issue.

I disagree. IMHO text should be just as large as usual. I should not "penalize" an important text for being important by making it unreadable. Maybe in print formats you can get such a fine text scale that is acceptable. In online media (we are talking CSS), taking something from 12pt to 10pt may well make it unreadable to many (think "accessibility").

Nice idea. But a CSS for DocBook can only specify properties for classes that exist in the document. Does DocBook provide markup for differentiating
- prompts
- user entered text, and
- program output?
If it does, the second question is: do those markups get transformed in aproppriate classes by Openjade in the resulting HTML document? If the answer is "yes" to both of the above, then we could think about implementing your idea.
Which brings us to the next question: how would you suggest those elements to be formatted? Any examples?

Again, I see the same questions arising: does DocBook provide markup for "variable" and "literal"? If so, does this markup get transformed to corresponding CSS classes in the resulting HTML? If so, what formatting would you suggest?
