And here is my vote too for a resounding yes.
LAMP projects are important in advancing Linux in the work place
and any HOWTO that can help is therefore valuable.

Some still use twm and the like so if you have the HOWTO ready
I would suggest you submit it. It will be a long time yet until
everyone has the horsepower to make the big window managers
seem fast.

Submit it and see. In fact I believe we already have some
HOWTOs in this general direction and they are still worth
having.

Gopher is still in use and was recently updated which caused
a few surprised headlines. Have a look at the Dead Media Project
(a non-Linux project started by Bruce Sterling a few years ago)
and you will find a lot of technology that was declared dead
by the general public still to be in active, everyday use.
