http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/metadata/ is the raw metadata in xml
format as described by the OMF DTD. I believe that that is what lampadas
used and what scrollkeeper uses.

+That's actually how I came to http://metalab.unc.edu/pub/Linux/metadata
+
+Is there any "raw" data for own processing available? I could find only
+the search forms which doesn't help me much.
+
+I'm maintaining the LDP HOWTO package for Debian (doc-linux)
+and I'm searching for a good source of metadata to ease this task.
+Having omf files available for redistribution would even better, as one
+could then benefit from indexing tools like scrollkeeper. I think the
+lampadas.org OMF data were used by Debian in this way in the past, but
+that was before my involvement.
