There are a few typos and things, but nothing major.

For example, the DOCTYPE definition on the first line is causing the 
document not to validate.  It should probably look something like this:

<!DOCTYPE book PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD DocBook XML V4.2//EN"
      "http://docbook.org/xml/4.2/docbookx.dtd" []>

http://www.tldp.org/LDP/LDP-Author-Guide/html/templates.html has some 
helpful Docbook templates and you can also use the DocBook XML validator 
at: http://validate.sf.net to track down typos.
