Please note the recent re-publishing of the Author Guide, in which Emma
Jane Hogbin put a lot of work. It is available a.o. from
http://tldp.org/LDP/LDP-Author-Guide/html/index.html and should address
these questions thoroughly:
- - first, you come to the discuss mailinglist and wait a reasonable period
of time for comments.
- - then, in the case of an existing document that you want to take over,
try to contact the author if (s)he didn't reply through the discuss
mailinglist.
- - try finding an up to date copy;
- - contact us again through the discuss mailinglist with the results of
your search.
- - submit your version
- - have it reviewed
- - publish.
Tille.
