Hello Jeremy,
Please note that Tabatha is currently reviewing my Bash guide, which is
now at http://tille.soti.org/training/bash/
I started on it because the Bash HOWTO is too simple, and the Advanced
Bash Programming Guide is too difficult. Things that should be in the
HOWTO in my opinion:
- - Commands, options and arguments
- - Searching the history
- - File and command name completion
- - Simple intro to environment
- - Redirections
Scripts, loops, conditionals etc is too advanced to be in the HOWTO, I
think.
If you keep that in mind, there shouldn't be too much overlap with the
guides.
Tille.
